PRO-16 & PRO-24 Medium Pressure, High Throughput Rotors

The PRO system uniquely combines medium pressure with high throughput and can hold up to 24 75mL TFM vessels. This is the most popular choice for the high-throughput environmental contract labs with the need for hundreds of samples per day. The PRO vessels are very easy to handle: capping is by hand with no tools needed and an indicator in the cap confirms the cap has been tightened correctly. The rotor’s flexible design allows either 16 or 24 position capacities. The Pro rotor has a max. pressure of 30 bar, which means it meets the pressure requirements of US EPA method 3546.

SK-10 & SK-12 Medium/High Pressure Rotors

These segmented-type rotors are designed to the highest safety standards and offer unmatched performance for difficult samples requiring high pressure and temperature.

The SK-10 is a high pressure rotor that holds 10 samples and the SK-12 is a medium pressure rotor that holds 12 vessels. The flexibility and wide range of application coverage of the SK rotors makes them adaptable to multiple extraction applications.

Typical application: Suitable for every application up to and including difficult organic materials such as polymer and oil-based products.

Large Volume Rotor (LVR)

This segmented rotor is designed to accommodate larger sample sizes. The LVR is a medium pressure rotor that holds 6 samples with a total of 270 mL per vessel. This additional volume makes it a good combination with the SK-10 and SK-12 rotors for added sample size needs.

Typical application: Suitable for larger environmental sample sizes, pharmaceutical formulations, and PUF cartridge extractions.

Q-20 Quartz Rotor Low Level Analysis, High Sample Throughput

Another Milestone first in rotor design is the new Q-20 Quartz rotor, which holds 20 high purity quartz vessels. The Q-20 is most suited to applications for low level organic and trace metal analysis. Because of the high quality quartz material, a simple cleaning between microwave runs prevents any possible memory effects due to the lack of diffusion through the vessel walls. This is particularly important for drug and clinical extraction applications for low level quantification.

Q-20 vessels are very easy to use and they heat and cool rapidly.  All vessels have indirect temperature control via IR sensor, and since quartz is transparent and has excellent heat conduction properties, IR temperature feedback is very fast, eliminating the need for direct temperature control.

MultiPREP-41 High Throughput Rotor

The MultiPREP-41 is a very high throughput rotor that can hold up to 41 sample vessels and designed for the extraction of easy samples requiring moderate temperature and low pressure conditions. Vessels are capped by hand and are easy to clean.

The MultiPrep-41 rotor is designed with simple self regulating pressure control in place of the Vent-and-reseal technology for low pressure applications with a greater number of vessels. It is suitable for simple extractions such as simple environmental soil samples as well as clinical and API formulations. MultiPrep can extract up to 41 samples simultaneously, however, as with any high capacity rotor, the sample sizes and types must be carefully chosen to prevent venting.

Typical application: Low pressure samples including environmental soils and solvents with good microwave absorption.
